The Fruitarian in Sri Lanka

Posted: 30th June 2010 by Michael in Sri Lanka

Food is growing everywhere! Bananas, durians, mangoes, papayas, coconuts, the list goes on and on, and it's everywhere and free!

Once you see this in nature it is unquestionable what kind of food we are supposed to be eating!

    Hi Mke,

Hope you enjoyed your short stay in this lovely island nation. The variety of fruit in Colombo is Ok, but nothing compared to the variety you will find inland where (Kandy, Nuwaraeliya, Kadugannawa, Adisham bangalow……etc, best if you would get a local to help you and valuable info from the ministry of agriculture) they are grown. Also there are different seasons for fruit barering (hope my spelling are correct) all year round.

Saw that you are a Jem merchant and this country has the best of Jems sort for their high quality of perfection ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqms0OtusDY ), So enjoy the fruit—-> Get fit, Explore the Jem Industry—-> Get rich

    Have a nice day

    Cheers

    ML

Man, I wish I could live off of the fruit in Sri Lanka.  Being a fruitarian sounds like the perfect diet, but with one complication here in the US of A:  most modern fruit has been cultivated to have a higher sugar content than wild fruit.  However, if the fruit is just wild, growing off of the trees, then hell yes, I'll go headfirst into a full fruitarian diet no questions asked!
