5/8 NorthFace 50 Mile Ultra Marathon (Bear Mt. NY): 8:00.30, 5th Overall (insane technical course! Race Report)

6/19 Joe Kleinerman 12-Hour (Queens NY) 73.6 miles, 2nd overall

6/26 Western States 100 Mile: DNF 20 hours 30 minutes, mile 85.2 (had a terrible race! hamstring pull at mile 35! Race Report)

7/17  Vermont 100 Mile Ultra Marathon: 5th overall, 17 hours 12 minutes Race Report

7/24 New York Road Runner's Queens Half Marathon: 1:28 (85F, ate too much before the race, bombed)

7/28 Central Park 10km: 34:13 (89F HOT!) GPS Data 

7/30 Around the Lake 12 Hour (In Massachussets): 61.59 miles GPS Data 

8/4 Times Square NYC to the top of Bear Mt. 62.76 miles (fat ass race) GPS Data 

8/7 New York Road Runner's 5 Mile Team Championships (Central Park) 27:04 (5:24 per mile) 55th overall

Note: I've been running 180-210 miles a week for the last 2 months!

8/14 Leadville Colorado 10km (starting elevation 10,200ft.  590ft of climbing in race): 38:42, 1st overall (6:14 per mile)

8/21 Leadville Colorado 100 Mile Ultra Marathon (16,000ft of climbing and 16,000 ft of decent.  Got lost, ran more than 100 miles!) 22:48, 31st overall

8/24 Sri Chinmoy Marathon (Rockland State Park New York): 2:39.41, 1st Overall (yes I won this marathon in a fast time just 2 days after running the Leadville 100 mile ultra marathon!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Here were my PR's prior to starting my Fruitarian Diet in January 2008.

Note: I have been running competitively since High School

Mile: 4:36 (High School)

3200meter: 9:44 (High School)

5km: 15:46 (19 years old)

10km: 36:50 (19 years old)

1/2 marathon: 1:18 (20 years old)

marathon: 2:45* (I ran this time many times from 20 years to 30 years old),

*At the age of 30, I tried a calorie restriction/Atkins diet and ran 2:34.19, but immediately thereafter had a debilitating tibia stress fracture which sidelined me for 8 months.



Since adopting a Fruitarian Diet I have set or improved on the following PR's:

10km: 32:48 (NYC Central Park, Rolling Hills)

50 Mile: 5:50.58 (2009 JFK 50 Mile. Course:single track technical/hills, flat dirt road, and asphalt road)

I placed 2nd Overall, 45 seconds behind the winner.  My 5:50.58 time is the 4th fastest time ever recorded in the 47 year history of this race.


100km: 7:27 (2010 USA National Championships, Mad City Madison Wisconsin

I placed 5th overall.


 

100mile: 17 hours 12 minutes (vermont 100mile trail ultramarathon 2010 I placed 5th overall.
